How Many CFM to Remove Odors and VOC?
Many studies have been performed to answer this question. The results are given in 2 ways. CFM per occupant and air changes per hour. These figures rise as the amount of indoor air pollution rises. For general occupancy, the amount is about 7.5 CFM per person or about 5 ACH. The study went as far as measuring a room with the average indoor pollution equaling 8 cigarettes per hour. At this extreme end, the study calls for 68 CFM per person or 13.6 ACH
