LA2-RC2-Dual OC 1500 CFM

VOC Mitigating Air Purifier

The LA2-RC2-Dual OC is designed to do 1 thing; remove odors and mitigate VOCs. It uses 2 powerful 1000 CFM blowers to pull smelly air through 2 Ultra 6 Odor Control Carbon Air  Filters. Each filter weighs about 13 pounds. They have 6 separate chambers filled with irregularly shaped odor absorbing media. This design forces odors and VOCs to come into contact with more odor absorbent. How Many CFM to Remove Odors and VOC?

Many studies have been performed to answer this question. The results are given in 2 ways.  CFM per occupant and air changes per hour. These figures rise as the amount of indoor air pollution rises.  For general occupancy, the amount is about 7.5 CFM per person or about 5 ACH. The study went as far as measuring a room with the average indoor pollution equaling  8 cigarettes per hour. At this extreme end, the study calls for  68 CFM per person or 13.6 ACH
