LakeAir electrostatic room air purifier attracts and retains airborne pollutants like a powerful magnet. As dirty air is brought to the LakeAir electrostatic cell, the larger particles are trapped by a pre-filter screen. Smaller particles pass through to the Ion section of the electronic cell where they are given an electrical charge. The “charged” particles then continue through to the collecting section of the cell. Here they are attracted to a series of aluminum plates. The pollutants are trapped in this section. They are removed when you wash the reusable electronic filter. The activated carbon after filter then removes harmful VOCs and stubborn odors.
