The Max-700 is based on the very powerful LA2-RC2-S. It provides up to 750CFM of clean air for any indoor space. It offers 250 more cubic feet per minute airflow than its closest competitor. the MAX-700 gives you 6 Air Changes per hour in a 1000 square foot area. This unit is powered by an 830 CFM German Blower.
97% Efficient Air Filtration
Our electrostatic filter cell is one of the most efficient of its type. We combine close tolerances and low voltage to provide a dirt magnetic that emits almost no ozone. This filter tests under the standards set by the State of California.
The Electrostatic filter cell is manufactured in our plant in Racine WI. We use the highest quality materials to produce a filter that last decades. It grabs dirt and smoke from the air. The filter is easy to clean. Hot soapy water removes the pollution trapped on the collection plates.
Carbon Filter Options
Carbon filters remove Odors and VOCs from the air. Through the years we have seen that customers place a different level of importance on Carbon Filtration. The MAX-700 is available with 3 different carbon filter options. Each option has it own corresponding price. Carbon filters introduce a certain amount of “BP” (back pressure) to the system. The more back pressure in a system the lower the resulting final CFM produced. The Electrostatic filter produces about 10% of backpressure. The result is 750 CFM of clean air output. The standard carbon filter adds 6% more BP and results in a 700 CFM total. Adding a super carbon filter that removes the most odors and VOCs results in a total of 22% BP and 650 CFM.

Easy to Clean Electrostatic Filter
On top of saving you money on filter replacement, the cleaning of the Electrostatic filter is a snap. All you need to do is place it in your dishwasher. The dishwasher model we used was a 20 year old portable model. If the cell will wit in this dishwasher it will probably fit in yours.
Place it into the dishwasher with the ION wires facing up. If there is room, support the cell with 4 old glasses. Run it through the hot cycle with a high quality aluminum safe detergent. It is best to wash your electrostatic filter separately from normal dishes.

After much consideration and research I decided to go with a Smoke Eater rather than a full room ventilation system with heat & moisture recovery system. The most obvious of reasons I the cost being a savings of about 2 grand. The one thing that I disliked the most about the Smoke Eaters is they all had pretty high yearly maintenance cost for filter replacements. However the Electrostatic Smoke eaters have the benefit of being able to clean and reuse the filter.
So I thought I would give it a try I purchased the MAX-700 smoke eater for my cigar room. They were available to answer all my questions and concerns, shipped the product to me quickly and I was able to unbox and plug in the unit in no time with no effort.
I have been venting my cigar smoke out the window with a fan as well as burning candles to keep everyone in the house happy for years. While this worked fine most the time it was not ideal in the winter or the hot summer months and made it difficult to maintain the humidity level in my room. The MAX-700 Smoke Eater handles the smoke and removes all the cigar odor in my room including the residual order left over the next day.

Enjoy the smoke eater! Does what its supposed to. Is a little louder than I had thought, however, no big deal. Customer service is SUPER!!!!
