High Performance HEPA Air Purifier / Smoke Eater
The MAX Guard-HEPA is a 900 CFM Air Purifier / Smoke Eater. This HEPA model has a pre-filter, True HEPA filter and 2 chamber carbon filter to remove odors and gasses.
The HEPA filter removes 99,97% of all dirt and smoke from the air to a size of 0.3 micron. The HEPA filter removes easily and should be replaced every 6-12 months depending on the level of indoor air pollution. The HEPA filter removes the most contaminants from the air in a single pass.
The other two filters add to the performance of the MAX Guard. The pre filter is a MERV 2 filter and removes the largest of particle from the air. This filter is washable and will last more than a year. The final filter in the WM-RC2-HEPA is a 2 chamber carbon filter. This filter contains 2 .5 pounds of activated carbon. The air is drawn directly through the carbon for maximum odor removal.
The MAX-Guard line offers the most clean air in portable air purifiers made for the home and business. The HEPA model has a maximum air flow capacity of 900 CFM. That is enough volume to provide 4 air changes per hour to a 1700 square foot area. The MAX Guard’s HEPA filter is TRUE HEPA filter. The filter volume of the MAX-Guard is 7 times greater. The RabbitAir filter’s volume is 217 cubic inches while the MAX-Guard is 1520 cubic inches of TRUE HEPA protection. Portable and Sturdy
To support such a robust system the MAX-Guard needs a serious frame and body. While other manufacturers are going light weight and cheaper construction, LakeAir is going for a heavy duty system that looks great and will last decades. The frame is all 14 gauge American steel. The grills are 14 gauge laser cut metal with a high quality powder coat. The unit also mixes in vinyl coated steel for an appealing appearance. It’s ok to use this air purifier as an end table. The frame is built to withstand up to 400 pounds. Each caster is rated at 150 pounds. This unit is heavy and won’t be knocked over if its bumped into.
Dual Blower Design
Like many of the LakeAir products the MAX-Guard uses (2) 830 CFM blowers to pull dirty air through the commercial HEPA filter. The sheer power of the unit will allow most consumers to run at 1/2 speed or less and still have double the air purification of competitor models. The variable speed control allows you to set the unit to a level of sound that works well in the room.
Easy to Repair
The MAX-Guard is a generational product and will likely need some repair in its long life time. The blowers have an expected life cycle of 60,000 hours or more. That’s almost 7 years of non stop running. If you turn your unit off occasionally, the blowers are likely to last even longer. 10 years down the road if you need to repair your unit it can be done by the average home owner. We don’t use circuit boards. We us simple switches and user friendly couplers made to make the rare repair a snap.

Due to the size of this unit it ships via truck line instead of UPS or FED-Ex. The MAX-Guard will be delivered to your home or business by truck strapped to a pallet. The pallet will be lowered to the ground by liftgate and brought to your door by the truck line. You will be called by the truck line to schedule you delivery.
