Description

499075 Carbon filter replaces the standard carbon filter in both the MAX-Guard  and Wm-RC2 Models. This filter is a  2 chamber carbon filter containing 1000 grams (2.2 pounds) of virgin coconut shell carbon. Air is forced through the filter allowing the carbon to remove odors through the process know as adsorption. Carbon has a finite amount of gasses it can hold. When the filter is saturated you should replace the filter. The easiest way to know if your filter is saturated is the sniff test.
