Smoke eaters are designed to remove all types of smoke from enclosed spaces, including tobacco smoke and cigar smoke. Industrial smoke eaters are purpose-built to remove fumes that are by-products of heavy industry—for example, welding operations, manufacturing processes, healthcare operations, and restaurant kitchens.

An industrial smoke eater also filters out air pollution particles, pollen, dust, allergens, and other airborne particles, ensuring that the air inside your industrial space is clean and safe for your employees.

LakeAir smoke-eliminating products include a range of industrial smoke eaters, from commercial and light industrial use to heavy-duty industries.

Industrial Smoke Eaters at a Glance

Unlike standard commercial air purifiers, industrial smoke eaters have high cubic feet per minute (CFM) airflow that enables them to remove more than 95% of the smoke in an enclosed space.

Part of this filtration efficiency is because smoke eaters generally use two types of quality air filters, HEPA filters and activated carbon filters. The former can clean the air of airborne pollutants, allergens, and pathogens, while the latter can remove the smoke.

Some industrial smoke cleaners use electrostatic filters that you wash clean rather than replace. This enables commercial enterprises to save a lot of money on replacing filters with a limited life span.

LakeAir industrial smoke eaters use electrostatic filtration systems that use two collecting cells that provide over 26,000 square inches of collecting area for optimum contaminant collection. The electrostatic cells are combined with an aluminum pre-filter and activated carbon filter to remove 97% of particulates down to 0.01µm.

LakeAir Industrial Smoke Eater Facts

Our electrostatic air cleaner uses collecting cells made from the best quality non-corrosive material that will withstand many cleanings. You needn’t worry that you’ll have to replace the cells so often that they’re no longer cost-effective.

Ozone is a by-product of electronic air filtration. However, ozone is toxic and can cause a variety of health problems, including asthma. Our industrial smoke eaters are designed to function efficiently at a lower voltage, which decreases ozone emissions.

Our light industrial smoke eaters use a triple filter system made up of a radial fan that shifts vast volumes of air through an aluminum pre-filter, electrostatic cell, and carbon filter.

The cell system provides more air change cycles or high CFM than any other existing air purifying technology. The design of our electrostatic smoke air filters also ensures that the system is far quieter than many other units on the market.

LakeAir also has its MERV 11 replaceable filters comprised of an extended-surface pleated-media type made from 100% synthetic fibers. They are rust-proof, water-resistant, and can withstand temperatures up to 180°F.

As far as industrial smoke air purifiers are concerned, there are two installation options.

1. Ceiling-Mounted

These units are typically preferred by entertainment or hospitality-related business establishments, such as restaurants, movie theaters, casinos, cigar bars, and other smoking establishments.

They are easily concealed, so they don’t disrupt the aesthetic or distract valuable customers.

2. Wall-Mounted

These units are common in factories, manufacturing plants, and other industrial applications. They aren’t as quiet as ceiling-mounted units, but that hardly matters on a busy factory floor where the noise level is always high.

They are also more obtrusive, but again, it doesn’t matter when employees are focused on machines and essential operations.

LakeAir’s powerful smoke eaters do more than remove smoke particles and smoke odor. They also remove the airborne chemicals that are released during various industrial processes, such as welding.

If business owners don’t provide a safe environment for employees and ensure that these chemicals, airborne contaminants, and other hazardous particles are effectively removed, employees are at risk of injury and health-related problems.

These emissions can cause respiratory illnesses, but the long-term effects of exposure could lead to more severe illnesses, such as cancer.

LakeAir’s quality industrial smoke eaters remove pathogenic microorganisms as well as smoke, ensuring your employees only ever have clean air to breathe.
