This filter replaces the media filter for the LakeAir Media 1 furnace filter frame. It has a MERV 10 rating and is disposable. This MERV 10 furnace filters are thick with cotton-polyester blend media and cardboard frame. This filter can be used in commercial and residential buildings. Replacement of  this filter will vary from use to use but should always be done at least annually . This filter will remove dust, lint, mold,  pollen, pet hair, smoke and more. Filtering these airborne particles can help alleviate allergies and sinus irritation that can cause watery eyes, itchy throat, coughing, and sneezing. Additional benefits are extending the life of your Air Conditioning / Furnace system by allowing the system to work more efficiently and economically.

MERV 10 furnace filters are at the high end of the filter category typically found in homes. A MERV 10 filter will capture most of the dust and other airborne particles and are considered the right choice for homes and families that do not suffer from severe allergies, asthma and other similar respiratory problems.

 

MERV 8 Furnace Filter Construction

LakeAir MERV 8 furnace filters are of an extended-surface pleated-media type.  The media is made of 100% synthetic fibers.  The media is pleated to increase filtering media.     The pleated cartridge is glued to the interior of the outer frame.  The Filter frame is made from  recycled products. It is a heavy-duty moisture-resistant beverage board.  The LakeAir replacement media air filter frame face is internally laminated to the pleated filter material.  LakeAir replacement filters are classified under U.L. std. 900 and rated to withstand temperatures up to 180 degrees Fahrenheit.
