Small Room VOC Extractor
The Maxum VOC is designed to do one thing and one thing only; Remove Odors. The powerful 830 CFM blower pulls air filled with odors (which are volatile organic compounds) as the VOCs pass through the 6 layer carbon filter they are adsorbed into the carbon crystals. The process of adsorption is not automatic. The odor molecule have to remain in contact with the carbon long enough to be fully adsorbed. Because of this, it may take several cycles through the carbon filter to be fully removed from the air.
General Odor Removal Requirements
The following table gives you some guide lines to help you understand how much area a VOC extractor cab handle. If the source of the odor is not eliminated, the carbon will quickly become saturated and you will need to install a new filter. On average the carbon filter for the Maxum VOC should last 3 months. The stronger the odor the the shorter the filter life. The only way to tell your filter is saturated is when you notice the odors becoming more noticeable again.
